A guided tasting, tour and luncheon with Bill Lark and tastings of his personal collection of single malt whisky.

A day of unimaginable exclusivity. We are offering a very small group of people the opportunity to taste some of the world’s rarest single malt whiskies, whilst enjoying the company of some of Australia’s top whisky experts.

Join the Godfather of Australian Whisky, Bill Lark and whisky afficinado Mark Nicholson for an intimate guided tasting from Bill’s private ‘Godfather Collection’ housed at Old Kempton Distillery. Accumulated over the past 20 years, Bill Lark has aquired some of the most sought after single malt whiskies in the world. This tasting offers the opportunity to sample these exceptional and limited releases, some of which are no longer produced.

The day will begin on Hobart’s Waterfront, at number 1 Elizabeth St. Transport will be waiting to bring you to Old Kempton Distillery at Dysart House. Your visit will commence with a guided tour by Mark Nicholson, followed by a tasting of some of Old Kempton Distillery’s finest single malt whisky.
You will enjoy a roast lunch of locally sourced lamb and slow cooked vegetables before commencing your exclusive guided tastings of specially selected whiskies from the collection, which include:

  • Lord of the Isles – Ardbeg
  • 27 year old, 1973 – Glen Rothes
  • 25 year old ‘Quater Century – Perfecto’ – Glenmorangie
  • 29 year old, ‘Mosstowie’ – Duncan Taylor

Finishing with a selection of handmade chocolates from Coal River Farm, made using Old Kempton single malt.

The bus will then bring you back into Hobart, leaving Old Kempton Distillery at 2.30pm.
