We are searching for new casual team member to join us at Old Kempton Distillery – located in Kempton, 40 minutes north of Hobart on the Midlands highway. To apply please read all details below and send a Cover Letter with availability and Resume to info@oldkemptondistillery.com.au

Old Kempton Distillery is a Tasmanian owned business operating since 2012. Our small team work in the cellar door/cafe, kitchen and distillery providing enjoyable customer experiences and distilling single malt whiskies, gins and liqueurs.

We are diverse in our jobs and work in all areas as needed. Being such a small team means being flexible and working well with others- one day you may be dusting shelves or making coffee and the next day be bottling and labelling whisky.

We serve customers our café menu or a tasting of spirits and many are taken on a guided tour of the distillery. We aim to ensure all customers thoroughly enjoy their experiences so they want to return and also tell their friends about Old Kempton Distillery.

If you want to join our team you will need basic cooking skills, cocktail skills, sales skills, and barista skills. Old Kempton Distillery prides itself on customer service, so ideally you will have experience in hospitality or other customer focused roles. This would preferably include sales in a cellar door environment. Knowledge of the distilling industry would be an advantage as an ability to talk to customers about the industry is very important in this role. All staff receive onsite training in all these areas so you need to be keen to learn.

Available shifts are generally between the hours of 9am and 5pm but markets (Salamanca) and functions may involve different hours. Shifts will be mainly on weekends but there will also be the need to cover other staff during the week.
